3 Ways To Quit or Close Metro Apps In Windows 8

Windows 8 no doubt seems to be by far the best stable and creative windows OS version we have seen till now, we have been using windows 8 as our primary OS for doing everything on PC it seems and feels much faster, easier to use and with the new smart metro UI and apps lot more things are much simple because of the sleek interface of the windows 8 start screen metro UI apps.

Today we are going to share another tip on how to kill metro UI Apps in windows 8 as it seems there is no visible close button to kill metro apps which you run from windows 8 start screen. After some searching and experimenting with windows 8, we got to know about 3 ways to close metro UI apps in windows 8.

Close Windows 8 Metro Apps With Task Manager

You can close any of the running metro UI apps by launching the task manager in windows 8, to open task manager press Ctrl+Shift+Esc key on the keyboard and locate the apps in task manager and right click on it and select end task as shown in the image below.

Kill Windows 8 Metro App By Dragging It to The Bottom Of Screen

Another way to kill the metro app is to move the mouse to the top middle on the metro app and then left click the mouse and drag the app [ you will see a small hand symbol ] to the bottom of the screen as shown in the image below.

Note: Same way if you are using windows 8 on touch screen, you use your finger to do the same.

The most simplest way to kill an app in windows 8 is to press Alt+F4 key combination on the keyboard to kill the running metro app instantly in windows 8
