my problems:

1. The data in the pendrive with get corrupted due to bad sectors most of the time.
2. On coping pictures only limited amount or 512MB of data will remain intact.
3. Formating is possible but very slow – 3 hours and disk is also slow when copying files

i contacted Kingston after sales support which confirmed that it was a fake one. one way to see if it is fake.. i think the only way not to get fooled is to resist buying such pendrive for cheap prices.i wonder is there are other makes being faked….

One of my friend got 512GB Kingston pen drive from his friend.
To check it we inserted in laptop and size was showing 497GB!! Then I told my friend to feed data as much as possible ( though its tough task, but atleast 100 + GB )

this month before diwali that is on 9-10-09

on young guy came to my dad’s shop & says to me”waana buy 32gb pen drive worth rs. 400″
i asked which brand it is of
he reply “kingston” he further say “i m working at airport
i’d got it from custom ……”
i like this offer ,bit that i have no money at that time
i said can u come on 11-10-09 today i dont have enough money
he says”see i 2, if i got another custmer i give to him” till that day if stocks remain iwill com”

now on the same day im searching on net to known the correct price of it on google search, than i came across with rohit article”
