Google drive and Skydrive both have been launched recently, in short both of them allow you to store the files on internet and later on access these files from any computer, phone or tablet or windows phone as well as per the access rules for both of these services, you can clarify your questions about these services here [ Google Drive ] and here [SkyDrive].

Now if you have installed Skydrive app for windows or google drive for instance on your windows computer, we will tell you how to access the google drive folder or skydrive folder directly from My computer or computer in windows explorer, as we will tell you how to add the shortcut icon to these drives so that you can access them more easily and faster.
This is simple windows tip, nothing too much great or new but this could really save your time if you plan to use these drives to store data on the go from other devices and computers. Another useful tip would be that both the google drive and sky drive by default gets added as shortcut in favorites as well as you can see in the image above on the top left.
Now in order to add these drives as shortcut in my computer or computer windows explorer, click on Map Network Drive link in the top middle of windows explorer after opening windows explorer with my computer by pressing Windows + E key.
Now Locate the Google Drive and Sky Drive folder by clicking the browse button as shown in the image below.
Select the Sky Drive or Google Drive Folder as shown in the image below.
Click Ok two times, that’s it done.
