Add Sound or Music To A Silent YouTube Video With AudioSwap

by Rohit Khurana on May 14, 2010

Recently I uploaded a YouTube video which shows the motion of lava inside my lava lamp, there was no sound or music in the background rather it was just the the surrounding noise which was actually disturbing the video.

After some searching I came to know about this useful feature on YouTube videos called Audio Swap – It is a service of YouTube which allows you to switch the audio track on a video. This new music track which completely replaces the prior one is used with complete permission of the copyright owners, and the artist will get attribution for the music.

Follow the procedure below to find out how to swap a the audio behind any video with YouTube audio swap feature

1. First you will need to upload the video to YouTube, using your YouTube account.

2. Once the video is uploaded and approved, go to My Videos at YouTube on the right top of the page.

3. Locate the video you just uploaded, and then click AudioSwap button below the video as shown in the image below.

4. Now you will need to select the audio track for your video

Note: You can preview the video with a selected audio track from the YouTube library and when you are sure, click Publish button.
