by Abhishek Bhatnagar on July 7, 2010

Just in case you are working on some computer other than yours, and you may not want to save a presentation or document you created with office 2010. But you want to access the document, presentation or any other which opens in office 2010  later on some other computer, so the first thing that might come to your mind is to send the document via mail to yourself.

Office 2010 has another easy and better solution this problem as it allows you to save the document, presentation or excel file online on windows live skydrive. The only thing you require is to have a live id or a hotmail id, follow to procedure to do it.

Open the respective document in word, excel or powerpoint and then go to File Menu >> Save & Send to save the document online.

This way you can save the office files online on windows live skydrive which offers 25 GB of free space for every user, click the sign in button to enter the username and password of your skydrive account a shown in the image below.

Once you are logged in, it will show you the folders  in your skydrive account where you can save this office file online.

Once you select the folder- it will start saving to the online folder you selected, you can later edit this file saved through office live web apps.

Note: It might goes not responding if you have a weak connectivity, so don’t click it again – just give it some time and allow it to save it will also prompt you with a save dialog once it connects to your online folder.
