Cannot Modify File or Folder Due To Lack Of Permissions – Use DropPermission To Gain Permission

It may happen some times when you may want to change particular files and folders on your PC but you are not able to modify them as you are not granted the permissions to change them, and you see the access denied error.


We got a mail from one of our reader who faced a similar problem, this is what he has stated in his mail.

I cannot modify certain file and folders, and see the access denied error


Here is a free tool called DropPermission which lets you change the files and folders by granting the permission you require to change them.



DropPermission is a simple and handy application designed to grant you permission when you want to modify a file or folder in Windows Vista or 7.


In order to get the permission to change or modify the file and folders you just need to drag files and folder for which your are access denied to the small square interface of this program and then you can change or modify these files and folders.
