Trouble:

Recently one of our frequent readers and my colleague Saurabh reported a problem, whenever he does right-click to create a new folder, his computer stops responding for a while. Everything freezes and he has to end explorer.exe task to recover from it.

Why computer hangs on clicking new?

This happened every-time he does a right-click and New option. This kind of problem occurs when one or more of the entries on the New option gets corrupted or the link is not actually available for some item. In such case, explorer will try hard to locate the missing item and will hang.

Trouble:

One of our readers got a problem when she tried to create or run new asp.net applications in visual studio after a fresh install of visual studio 2005. She got the error message saying “Visual Studio .Net has detected that the specified web server is not running ASP .NET version 1.1″ and it stops.

This problem mainly occurs when asp.net 1.0 overwrites asp.net 1.1 version framework on your system. Don’t worry as you can easily fix this trouble with some sets of commands.

Trouble:

Recently we received a mail from one of our readers whose computer was infected by Win32/NSAnti virus, this virus mainly causes drive opening problem by double click in windows XP.

If your system is infected by this virus you can’t see hidden files and folders , even after applying the settings to show hidden folders. This setting is reverted back to Don’t show hidden files and folders by the virus.

This happens because virus protects the two hidden ,system files called d.com and autorun,inf which are created by amvo.exe and amvo0.dll , amvo1.dll which resides in system32 folder on the OS drive (hard disk partition on which windows operating system is installed).

Fix:

In order to fix the problems caused by this virus ,you will need to delete all these files created by the virus.
