Trouble:

For a change today I am going to share one of the problem which I have been facing for last 2-3 days. This issue started appearing after installing just released as Firefox 3.0 RC 1. I have been facing firefox navigation buttons problem.

Whenever I start Firefox both backward and forward button are not visible

( as shown in the image below )

Trouble:

We have been receiving some emails form the readers who face different type of error messages while trying to standby or hibernate their computers.

This type of abnormal behavior at the time when your computer tries to enter standby or hibernate occurs due to following reasons:

• Incompatible display drivers or no display drivers
• Hardware may not support hibernation and standby

Some of the users reported that the standby button was visible in shutdown option menu but grayed out or disabled to click.

Some error messages which appear when system enters standby or hibernate mode are:

• Unable to enter Standby mode.
• 0×0000009F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

Even in some cases computer goes into standby or hibernate mode but cannot resume back again and results in system restart. It may also happen that your computer resumes back from hibernate or standby but mouse or audio does not work properly.

Trouble:

One of our readers, Mehraj, sent us a problem saying whenever he powers on his computer, the computer does not boot. It show error message like “Unmountable Boot Volume or STOP 0×000000ED UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME” message.

It can really trouble someone a lot if the computer refuses to boot at all. In such cases the computer even does not start even in safe mode.

The main reasons behind such problem are:

• Incompatible BIOS settings
• Faulty or incorrect bus-cable
• Boot sector virus attack
• Corrupt boot sector

Trouble:

One of readers, Raj Kumar, reported a problem which I have heard from some of my friends as well. He Says: “I have problem viewing icons on desktop, unable to see icons on desktop” The desktop background appears blank with no icons on it (as shown in the image below).

The problem is related to disappearing of desktop icons and task bar on windows startup. In some cases even when the user tries to open windows explorer by new task-option in task-manager the explorer flashes for a second but doesn’t start properly.
