Control What Your Facebook Friends Can Share About You

We have been been writing about various Facebook tips and specific Facebook privacy tips these days, Today we will tell you more about how to protect your private data on Facebook by controlling what your friends can share about you.


You can specify the Facebook options to control to what extent and what information your Facebook friends can share about you, follow the procedure below to know how.

1. Login to Facebook with a valid username and password

2. Go to Facebook Account >> Privacy Settings



3. Click the section Applications and Websites under Facebook privacy settings as highlighted in the image below.


4.  Locate the section which says What your friends can share about you – Now uncheck what you don’t want your friends to share about you.


After configuring the options shown in the snapshot above, click Save Changes and a quick message prompt will be shown in which confirm all these changes has been saved.

This is great advice – though I noticed that whenever I then go back to this site, everything I’ve unchecked is checked again, and no matter how often I uncheck it and click on ‘Save Changes’, they never go permanent. Argh! Any idea why it isn’t working for me?
