by Abhishek Bhatnagar on June 4, 2010

Google chrome allows you to create full screen page shortcut for any webpage you have opened in google chrome, you can save this shortcut on desktop, quick launch and start menu

In order to create a web shortcut to a page, click on the file icon on the top right of the google chrome toolbar, and then select create application shortcuts for this page.

When you click the desktop shortcut to open it, it will open the webpage in full screen google chrome window with out any toolbar or address bar as shown in the image below.

This will be detected and deleted by any antivirus, unless you deactivate the AV
and then add an exception for it later. We need a free tool not blocked by the AV.

I can’t get it to open in full screen mode. Even when I edit the shortcut and choose “Run- maximized”it opens in a half-width window. That’s annoying. This would be awesome for grooveshark but it’d be so much better if it would full screen without my having to click the maximize button.
