Microsoft has recently released a critical patch KB978207 which fixes a major venerability in all the versions of Internet Explorer from 5 to 8. As the exploit has been there in all the browsers you should install this patch to fix it.

If you have the setting enabled that windows will automatically download an install updates, then you it will get installed through windows update and for those who do not have this settings turned on better download this patch and install it to fix the bug in your internet explorer.

This security update resolves seven privately reported vulnerabilities and one publicly disclosed vulnerability in Internet Explorer. The more severe vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted Web page using Internet Explorer.
