Security of the data in our system is one of the major concern. We use to delete the data when it is of no use, because we don’t want anyone else to look at our personal data. The data recovery is a very good options at times. But if someone recovers the data which we don’t want to share, may create big problems. So, we have to very careful while sharing our system. But we sometimes it is not possible. So, I found DeleteOnClick to be a very good option to resolve my problem. It will delete the data completely from your system.
DeleteOnClick is a small freeware of 1.04 MB. It is very easy to use the tool. Just install it and the option will be present in your window context menu as “Securely Delete”. It has been shown in the snapshot below.
Once you have deleted the data with the Securely Delete option, it cannot be recovered at all. Though you may find many other options to delete the data permanently so that it cannot be recovered. But they are bit complex and you have to follow a number of steps. This makes the process tedious. So, the users prefer to use this tool over others to make the task easy and fast. Also, it is more convenient as context menu has both the options of Delete and Securely Delete. So, you can make the choice at the time of deletion itself.
Since the data cannot be recovered at the later stage, so you need to be bit careful t the time of deletion. You may not permanently delete any of document, which you may require in future. There are few other things about the tool. It cannot delete the files which are shared by other programs. You cannot delete shortcuts. Or any other file combined with other programs. Though, it can be used to delete the .exe files.
Securely Delete option makes you feel free that your data cannot be recovered by anyone else. Now, you don’t have to worry at the time of deletion. The option is highly beneficial when a system is shared between more than one user. At that time, you may save your important document online or in your own portable device and delete it from the system permanently.
The freeware has been tested with Windows 7, and it is also compatible with Windows XP and Vista.
