Yes, windows 8 in built search is much more refined now as compared to the basic useless search in windows 7 which I never use, I am talking here about the windows explorer search feature to find programs, files and folders. For those who don’t know Windows 8 consumer preview has been made public some time back, since that time we have been using windows 8 as our primary OS for doing everything on PC it seems and feels much faster, easier to use and with the new smart metro UI and apps lot more things are much simple because of the sleek interface of the windows 8 start screen metro UI apps.

We have already written several windows 8 tips, you can read our Windows 8 Tutorials and Tips. You might be surprised to know that windows 8 record and keep all the search queries you type while searching in windows 8. Today we will tell you how can you delete the windows 8 windows search history.

Remove Windows 8 Search Queries

Follow the procedure below to know how to delete windows 8 search history. Open windows 8 explorer window by pressing Windows key + E and then click the search box to activate the search section on the ribbon bar above as shown in the image below.

Now click the recent searches to see the dropdown listing all the searched queries and then click clear search history as shown in the image below.
