Hi,

I had the same problem. It got worse over a few weeks time. It got so bad that I couldn't even type more than 1 letter without moving the pointer back to "right after the letter". A thousand little windows popping up over and over in minutes. Opening files on its own, asking me if I wanted to delete them, etc etc. I took my laptop computer twice to the place where I bought it, and had it totally cleaned up and checked over. A new spyware program was added (Microsoft Windows Definder). I already had Norton for viruses. I think they fiddled with it a bit and when it ran good, they'd shut it down. But it was always after it warmed up for a few minutes, that it when NUTS. I paid about $200 for nothing and finally decided to play around on my own. I went to the control panel, clicked on MOUSE, then clicked the DEVICE SETTINGS tab, then clicked DISABLE. And as unbelievable as it sounds, the problem vanished. I can no longer use the laptop mouse touch pad. I plugged in a small portable mouse and VOILA ... problem solved. It is a small price to pay (to have to use a MOUSE) but soooooooo worth it. I imagine if I had taken it back to the computer store and asked them to repair or replace the "touch pad", that would have solved the problem but I had already spent way too much money on a 3 year old laptop. This may not solve your problems ... but it is certainly worth trying. Good luck.
