You might have felt the problems while running the files present on your USB device. You may not be able to access them due to various reasons like accessibility, software problems and many more. And it is very irritating and turns out to be a complete wastage of time. We have to spend a lot of time in searching the solution and even then not able to find the one. Because every device has its own solutions. So, I prefer to have one common solution to all these problems so that there are no hurdles while I am working. In this context today I would like to review a tool known as USB Autorun which is used to execute the files on USB device.
USB Autorun is a very small freeware of 480 KB only. It is a portable utility. As soon as you run the freeware, it will be present on the system tray. The utility will help you to access or execute the programs, files or any other item on the USB. You have to simply pair the device and can proceed with the further steps very easily. The user interface has been shown in the snapshot below.
The arrow along with the USB Devices will allow you to Select or Unselect a particular device. When you click the option select USB device, it will display a new dialog box as shown in the snapshot below. It will display all the devices that can be paired with the utility at the point of time. The name along with the info will be displayed for your convenience. You can select any of the required devices.
Select the devices and they will be displayed in the previous interface. And further you can carry out the required process. And similarly from that window you can unselect the USB device. It will have the log for all the events that have been performed. The utility can execute a large range of files as far as the compatibility is concerned. Sometimes the freeware is confused with the free wares used to run the USB device in the safe mode and protect from the virus. But it has entirely different function as discussed. So, execute the files and programs easily for any of the USB device.
The other requirements for the freeware are . NET Framework 4.0. The freeware has been tested on Windows 7 and it is also compatible with the other versions also.
