Network can be pretty frustrating at times when you are unable to open home page or any other web page and you just get error that Requested page can not be found. Then most of you tries to restart your router, check wiring or start doing troubleshooting. But at times all your efforts are wasted because the problem is just because of bad network.

So to solve all your problems, you can use a tool named NetSpeed. NetSpeed is a nifty utility and provides you a simple way for benchmarking the speed of your Internet connection. This handy utility allows you to figure out the upload and download speed of your internet connection and displays you the data in a very simple graphical interface.

This is the snapshot of this tool. You are only required to run its exe file and then this application will start immediately and will begin testing your network connection speed and after uploading and downloading some test files, it will show you the results. It works pretty well and even shows the speed in form of graph.

I find this application very simple as it even requires no installation and run directly from its exe file. It even has a very elegant interface and it really does exactly what is name tells i.e really test the most accurate speed. This tool also shows the current internet uplink and downlink usage percentage. The best part is that it is absolutely free to use and you can even run it directly on any PC by simply carrying it on any portable device.

You If you wish to customize the settings of this tool, then simply right click on it an then you will see the following menu.

So the first option is Hide to tray. You can click on this option is you want to minimize this tool to the system tray. After minimizing, it will keep running in background, and you can access it anytime from the system tray. The next option is to keep it always on Top. This will make this tool visible to you even if you open any other application. Third option is the Setup. Click on tis option to configure the settings of this tool.

So from here you can choose the Network Interface from the drop box and even can adjust the timings and bit rate as per your requirements. Developer has also added option to change the width and height of this tool which is pretty good. You can also change the Maximum upload and Download speed and even the Refresh interval which is the time after which this tool refreshes the data.

So in nutshell, this tool is a simple network interface bandwidth monitoring program to find out the average download and upload speed of your network.

The size of NetSpeed is just 113 Kb and as I have already told, it requires no installation and you can run it directly from its exe file present in the RAR file whose link is given below. This tool is compatible with all the versions of Windows and has been tested successfully on Windows 7 Ultimate-32 bit edition.
