Trouble:

There is one automatic tool and some manual commands to fix the common Media Player Errors, we have listed both methods below:
Fix Media Player Automatically With Fix WMP Tool
Fix WMP is a free utility by The Windows Club, this will re-register all the dll files which are needed for Windows Media Player to work properly. This simple means that your Windows Media Player will become just like freshly installed copy of Windows Media Player and this will fix the errors of Windows Media Player.
This is a very small and simple utility with no fancy options, just one simple click and the problem gets fixed.
Fix Media Player By Manually Resetting WMP Configuration in Windows 7
To fix manually, you need to reset three settings on Windows 7:
Reset Windows Media Player Configuration options:
1. Open the run prompt by pressing “Window Key + R” together
2. Type “msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerConfigurationDiagnostic” and press enter, this will open Configuration Diagnostic Window and will give you option to reset the WMP config
Reset Windows Media Player Library Options
1. Open the run prompt by pressing “Window Key + R” together
2. Type “msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerLibraryDiagnostic” and press enter, this will open Configuration Diagnostic Window and will give you option to reset the WMP Library options
Reset Windows Media Player DVD Options
1. Open the run prompt by pressing “Window Key + R” together
2. Type “msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerDVDDiagnostic” and press enter, this will open Configuration Diagnostic Window and will give you option to fix the WMP DVD options
After these three fixes, your Windows Media Player will run like new.
