Trouble:
Due to certain settings or software installation, the Windows XP Welcome screen may change to a login window. Although this may not be a trouble for many of us, but it is a trouble for some who like to see Welcome Screen rather than Login Window. Lets see how Windows XP Welcome Screen and a Login Window.
In this post we will tell you how can you enable Windows XP Welcome screen when it gets disabled. Also you can turn it off if you like the login window.
Fix:
Its quite simple and easy, just Open Start > Control Panel > User Accounts, as you can see below:
It will take you to User Accounts settings as below:
Here Click on “Change the way users log on or log off “, it will show options like below:
On this screen you can set the use of welcome screen by checking the options “Use the welcome screen”, also you can disable it here if you want a login window instead of Welcome Screen. That is it .

in some cases in the select logon and logoff options both the boxes will be disabled then how i should solve it
