Thnx alot!!!

None of the fixes I found on other websites worked(neither did doing yours manually – registry didn’t have “NoFolderOptions” entry) but the registry download did the trick!

Thnx alot – your help is very much appreciated – all the way from South Africa :-)

Hi,
Even after following the steps the error is not rectified. i.e. the folders are still hidden. The registry value was already 0.
Any other ways to do this?

has anybody tried using gpedit.msc in the command prompt to fix this problem? i’m using this instead of regedit

mygif
worMz says, August 11th, 2009

this is how to use gpedit.msc:

A. Start–Run–type gpedit.msc then click OK

a window will open:

B. go with this menu: (Click the + sign to see further menu)

-User Configuration
-Administrative templates
-Windows components
-Windows Explorer

C. it is with this menu to do the trick”

1. When Windows Explorer is click, options will open at the RIGHT SIDE of the window. Find “Removes the Folder Options menu item from the tools menu”
2. Point the the cursor of the mouse to this option then right click where you will see the option “Properties”. Left Click this option.
3. Option will we be presented:
a. Not configured
b. Enabled
c. Disabled
4. Choose “Enabled”
5. CLOSE the entire window (Click x from the window)
6. Repeat this trick from A to C no. 1 to 3.
7. This time choose “not configured”
8. End of trick.

THIS WORKED IN MY PC

I have also face this problem in past. U just install Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware

Scan your Pc with Malewarebytes and it will fix registry issue automatically.

And I Suggest you to Use Kaspersky Antivirus or Kaspersky Internet Security for Protect your computer for viruses. If you couldn’t find these software so email me I’ll send you links for both with keys or patches……

Thanks
