Many times you will have to uninstall and reinstall the Windows or Microsoft Office due to a corrupt file or due to a system crash due to a hardware failure or a virus attack. Every time you will reinstall your Windows or Microsoft Office you will have to reactivate your license online for each one of them even if you are reinstalling them on the same PC. But for every software there is a certain limit up to which you can activate using the same license on the same PC and after that limit has finished the software will get locked and you will have to get it unlocked from the vendor which in this case is Microsoft. But now I have got an application named OPA Backup. OPA stands for Office product activation backup which is a freeware tool.
This software will help you to maintain a backup of your activation of your Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2010. Using this backup you can restore it whenever you will reinstall your system. The software will work for Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office 2010 and will backup all the license files. The application all the version of Microsoft office and requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0.
This is the first window that will open when you will run the software for the first time after downloading and installing it. The software doesn’t require installation and will run directly from the exe file which you will get after extracting the ZIP file. The software will give you the option to select the various software’s like Microsoft XP, Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Office 2010. You will have to select the required option for which you want to make a back up or in case you want to restore a backup and then press the Next button.
On the next window the application will give you a radio button to choose from the two options i.e. Make a backup or Restore a backup. You will have to choose the required option. In case you have already made the backup before then you should choose the Restore the backup option and in case you will have to make a backup you should choose the Make a backup option and then press Next button.
This is the next window which will open when you will press the next button which will show you a button to choose the path where you want to store the backup and then press the Next button again.
This is the last window which will open which will show you that the backup for the software that you selected has been completed successfully.
