You can create directory in Windows explorer by right click on any part of screen and then click on New Folder. By default windows will name your directory as new folder and then you will need to rename to a desired name. Creating a single directory is often not a tough job, but what if you want to create number of directories and subdirectories and that too in different part of your hard disk?

I am sure creating number of directories and subdirectories will consume lots of time and even every time you will need to rename each directory and that process will not only be time consuming but also be very tedious. So to ease your job, you can use a tool called Directory Creator to create any number of directories and that too in any part of your disk.

Now as the name suggest, this tool is capable of creating practically unlimited number of directories. This is a very light application and even requires no installation. When you run its exe file, you will see its window as follow.

You will find little difficult to read text written on its tab but there no need to worry. You will only need to click on one button from the toolbar and that’s not at all tough job to locate that button. I am highlighting that button below.

Before clicking on this button all you need to do is to open a blank Excel file and then write location of directories in the first column. Like I want to make a directory in C:\ with name Nitish and want to place 10 subdirectories with name from letter a to k and another directory with name technix in my D:\ and there save 5 folders with name blog1 to blog5, then I would need to create excel file as follow.

In similar way you can put any number of directories and sub directories. Once done, save this excel file in any location but make sure that you save file in XLS format and not in format of XLSX i.e not in Office 2007 format. Then go to Directory Creator and browse to location where you have saved your excel file.

This tool will then automatically create your desired directories at desired location with desired name as mention in your Excel file. Hence with few second you will be able to create number of desired directories. So all you need to give location and names of your new directories in an excel file and this tool will automatically create directory in fraction of time.

The size of this tool is 1.38 and it requires no installation. This freeware is compatible with all the versions of Windows and has been tested successfully on Windows 7 Ultimate-32 bit edition.
