press delete at the time when the computer starts to boot. This will take you to BIOS settings. Check there whether it has detected your hard disk or not. If not, disconnect the hard-disk bus cable and connect it back again. also disconnect power going to hard disk and connect again. close the casing and again check in BIOS settings if the hard disk is detected.
this will help you identify whether your hard disk is working or not. this problem can be because of faulty bus cable, faulty power cable or faulty hard disk also.
you need to figure out the fault and replace the faulty component.</description>
