i can’t open the local drives directly clicking the icons.
the drive clicked show the message of open with,but when i open the drives by folder option by expand the drives i able to open every file and folder.what is problem in my pc,please send me the answer aas soon as possible.

please go through this..

Follow the set of commands below to show and delete the autorun.inf

1. Open Start>>Run and type cmd and press enter. This will open a command prompt window. On this command prompt window type the following steps.

2. type cd\

3. type attrib -r -h -s autorun.inf

4. type del autorun.inf

5. now type d: and press enter for d: drive partition. Now repeat steps 3 and 4. Similarly repeat step 5 for all your hard disk partition.

Restart your system and your trouble will be fixed.

hi, my brother has a transcend mp3 player.
yesterday whn he attached it to the usb port, i faced the problem. i used nod32 v3 to get a trojan removed. but it didn’t do anything to the problem. then i opened folder options and enabled show os files and show hidden files.
it showed me autorun.inf, a dll file and another kind of file, named 610 (something like that), i deleted both and detached the mp3 player. after reconnecting it to the usb port it worked fine.
So people, remember to detach your pen drive after removing the malware and then reconnect

This was a good solution and solved my problem partially.

Now when i open c drive , i get the message “Cannot find script file c:\virusMawar.js”.

I don’t know how to fix the problem. Plz help

There must be an entry for autorun.inf which causes the message everytime.

Locate and delete autorun.inf or autorun.ini if any in the “c:”

hey bro.. i tried ur tip.. it worked only on drive partition.. i have two.. a C: and an F: drive.. it worked on the C, but the F still opens an open with window.. i tried ur tip once again.. after i typed “attrib -r- -h -s autorun.inf”, it tells me “File not found - autorun.inf”

past 6 months i had this problem, when i try to open hard drives by double click it asks open with and i had tryed lot of methods to solve this problem but i couldn’t. I thought i have to reinstall the OS. Then i have seen your simple method to solve this problem and I used it now i can open all the drives by double click.

hey man thaz really cool….. u solved my prob within a fractions of second ….many times,i was suffering a lot wit this prob but @ last i succeed wit ur help. initially i was afraid about how 2 run all commands as u mentioned above but it was so nice i saw a AUTO RUN EATER software n tried…..i scan ma pc in 1 sec n prob. resolved …………..it was just like a magic…………………………….

even many powerful antivirus softwares r not able 2 do this damn thing which is created by virus n trojans.
