In our busy schedule, we have to do lots of work in less time to give high efficiency. So, we try to use as many shortcuts as we can to complete our work early. For this, most of us use copy & paste method frequently to achieve the desired efficiency. Also, in offices, one person has to do a similar type of work so, one has to use and type same lines many a times. To do it, we all use clipboard to save our few frequently used items. But, while using Internet, there is no such clipboard available due to which we have to type same lines again and again.

Considering this problem, Google has come up with an extension called Web Clipboard which will store text and HTML content. When you will install it, it will ask you the access to your data on all websites and your browsing history. You have to just select ‘install’.

It will only create problem when run in incognito window because Google chrome will not be able to prevent this extension to save the browsing history in incognito window. So, take care of it.

It will be installed in just a few seconds and will be seen with this icon in the toolbar menu.

Web Clipboard will let you copy and paste HTML and text. It uses Google Docs web clipboard, so you can access all your data directly in any Google Applications. You just have to select the item you want to save, and click on the web clipboard icon and select the option ‘Copy selection to web clipboard’ and it will save your item in the list just like here.

Now, whenever you want to use the saved item. You just have to click on the icon again and select your item and its done.

It also provides you the option of clearing all the stored items if you think that are now useless so that you can store new items. It will help you to keep the list clean and let you find your choice easily.

There are some limitations of the extension:

1. Once the extension is installed, it will only work on newly opened pages (or you can refresh the page)
2. The extension does not work with pages containing frames.
3. Gmail is not supported.

Other than these three things, it works really nice and solve the desired purpose for which it is created.
