Trouble:

It happens many a times that you download some file which you badly need, and the downloaded file is a ZIP or a RAR file. Now first thing you do is open the file with windows default utility or WinZIP.

Many a times we get an error saying that “it does not appear to be a valid archive”,or “The compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted” as seen in pop-up below:

This happens mainly because while downloading or copying of files some of the important parts of the file get corrupt. In some cases, the damage is repairable and in some cases it is not.

Trouble:

Once it occurred to me that I was clicking certain file icon with mouse and a lot of other icons ware also getting selected. I opened “my computer” and clicked on certain item and all were getting selected together (strange!). When I opened certain folder, lots of folders opened in new windows.

I was confused as what was happening. I had no idea was that some software problem or a virus has infected? There was totally erratic behaviour when I was using the mouse and keyboard.

The suspense was getting deeper now,  soon I realized what the trouble was. Guess what ?

Trouble:

Recently we received a problem from one of the readers on system run a chkdsk disk scan again and again at every time on booting windows.

Let’s see how we can solve the problem of disk scan running every time of boot on windows.

Fix:

Disc scan is one of the protective feature of windows which runs to clean any cross-links or bad sectors that may be generated because of the improper shutdown of windows due to some reason. So, when ever you shutdown your system in some improper way ,the next time you boot your windows you will see scan disk running which you can stop by pressing an key on time.

Trouble:

It happens many time when we try to delete a file on the hard disk, and file does not get deleted. It gives the error message saying “Cannot delete, file is being used by some other program” when we are actually not using the same file.

This problem occurs because windows does not release the handle to the file. Let us see the way to delete such files.

• Not able to send/receive files or songs from PC to phone and vice-e-versa.
