Default Windows Alt+Tab switch shows you small thumbnails of the running applications on the middle of the screen like you can see below :
This kind of view is helpful, but a detailed one is even better which comes with the premium and ultimate version of Windows 7 and Windows Vista. I am talking of the Flip 3D effect with flying task windows which looks like something below when you press Windows + Tab key on keyboard :
But if you are running the Home Basic version of Windows 7 or Windows Vista or you have Windows XP for which Flip 3D is not available. There is an excellent utility called the Vista Switcher which lets you do it mid way by using the thumbnails and images and show them when you use the Alt+Tab key of the Keyboard.
This utility is very light in weight and works with Windows 7, Windows Vista and even Windows XP.
The task switching with Vista Switcher is something like this :
It shows you a preview of the opened app when you press the Alt+Tab Key on a windows on the left side and a list on the right side. You can configure the size of the preview Window based on your convenience and customize it to a great extent.
The settings allow you to select the display on which you want to show the Active Windows Preview in case you use a multiple monitor setup.
You can also check out some of the similar application EdgeSwap that we review sometime back.
