SlimComputer is small yet very powerful tool for your new computer. This tool is developed by Microsoft Certified partner Slimware Utilities. This tool connects to an online community network called Cloud. So through this community, SlimComputer can get the latest reviews about all software, services and toolbars and hence help you to optimize performance of your new computer without spending hours on checking all installed applications.
So when you run this tool, at the main window you will see four options i.e Applications, Toolbars, Start-up Items and Shortcuts. When you click on Run Scan, this tool will first check for all preinstalled applications which are either trial and promotional or are useless, and will only degrade the performance of your system. Then it will check for all unwanted advertisement toolbars which usually come with various software and slows down the speed of both you web browser and your system. Then it will check for Start-up Items to determine if there is any advertisement link or any other useless link in this menu. And finally it check for all pre-installed shortcuts with can clutter your desktop.
After the scanning is complete, you will find a huge difference in the performance of your system. This tool deletes all data which it find useless, but still if you find that any of your useful application being deleted by this tool, then too there is no point to worry. SlimComputer saves backup for everything which it deletes and you can recover any deleted application from Restore option.
Now the next option is Optimizer. This option will help you to optimize the performance of your system. On the top left there are two meters which will show the CPU Usage and your RAM Usage. Then you will see three options in this screen namely Start-up, Services and Restore List. Start-up will show all those applications which loads automatically when you boot your system. You can put mark in front of applications and remove them, if you don’t want them to run when your computer boots.
Now next option is services. You can even disable some of your services which automatically load at start-up so as to make your booting process faster. Then you can manually enable them whenever you require them. And the last option is Restore List. This tool save all changes in Restore List so that if you find that your system is not working properly after making changes, you can get back to the previous settings.
Next option in this tool is Uninstaller. You can also Uninstall any of your installed application using this tool. You will need to select the desired application which to want to uninstall and then click on Uninstall located at bottom right.
And the last option is Windows Tools. This contains all windows inbuilt applicatio0ns which you can use to improve the performance of your computer. Hence this tool allow you to easily access your inbuilt tools instead of going to start menu or search menu and then search for desired application.
