Sometime while working on Windows we get frustrated by the limitations of the Windows Explorer as it is not able to perform many such functions which are really important. Today I have got a software named Directory Opus which will allow you to replace your Windows Explorer with the new windows explorer called Directory Opus.
The application has features like display of file in the form of a tree directory structure. The application will provide you with the folder tabs so that you would be able to open multiple folders and switch quickly between them. The application will also be able to do the FTP, Zip, RAR, 7Zipand many other formats.
The application has a window to preview the images and the documents. The application can also be used to rename the batch files. Synchronize and duplicate file finder tools are already built in the tool. Features like Indexed search and jumplists are supported. You can also color code your files and assign them star ratings. The application can be used to modify the user interface like keyboard hotkeys and toolbars.
This is the first screen which will open up when you will run the software for the first time after downloading and installing it. Press the next button.
The window gives you an option to Launch the Directory Opus at startup. You will have to choose your desired option.
You will get an option to replace the windows explorer with Directory Opus as the default handler for folders. You will have to choose your desired option.
You can make Directory opus the default handler for the FTP or keep the current handler i.e. Chrome. You will have to choose your desired option.
You will get the option to set Directory Opus the default handler for ZIP Files or you can keep those files with the current handler.You will have to choose your desired option.
You can choose the Directory Opus to double click on picture and sound files or you can keep the default handler for them. You will have to choose your desired option.
After choosing all the desired option you will get this window which is the Opus Directory explorer. The application has Four toolbar options i.e. File, Edit, Tools and Settings. In addition to them the application has View Options, Folder Options and Lister options on the right hand side of the tool which has an icon bar. The tools contains the view of various drive containing the hidden as well as unhidden folders. The application also has a search option on the top right hand side of the window.
