Trouble:
We have received this problem from our readers that in his windows Start Menu, he can not find the Run button. Look at the image below.
This usually happens because of the start menu items settings. These settings may be altered by some virus or malicious script.
Let us see how this can be fixed in a few simple steps.
Fix:
Follow the steps below:
1. Right click on task-bar and click properties, this will launch the Taskbar and Start Menu properties window.
2. On this menu, click on Start Menu tab as shown in image below. Click on Customize button. This will launch Customize Start Menu Window.
3. On this Customize Start Menu, click on Advanced tab. In start menu items check the option Run command.
4. Click on apply and ok. Now you can see the run prompt as below
Done !
Update: we have just received some comment in this post where a user says he is still not able to see run command in start menu.
If the above procedure is not working then you can try pressing Window + R to open run and type your command, and if does not work then your Run is disabled by system security policy or by some virus.
So first make your system virus free by updating your anti virus and run a fresh scan it might help.
