Scan Your Computer For Security Flaws In Softwares With Secunia Online Software Inspector

Many softwares have security flaws which make your Computer vulnerable to hacks and virus attacks. Such softwares are usually updated by the software  publishers as soon as a security flaw is discovered and a software update is released.

Secunia has developed an online scanning tool called the Secunia Online Software Inspector which scans your computer for installed softwares which have security flaws in them of in simple terms they are not secure softwares. These softwares have been already updated but you might not be running the more secure latest versions on these softwares.

The Secunia Online Software Inspector is a Java based scanner which will run from Inside your browser and will  scan all the softwares installed on your computers with their version information. When you click the start button as seen below, it will launch a Java based scanner which will prompt you for your permission to run the scan.

Once you allow the program to run, it will start the scan and will list down the vulnerable software versions installed on your computer.

The result page will list down the softwares as seen below with name of the software, Install location, version running on your computer. It will also list the more secure and latest version released by the software vendor which has fixed the security vulnerabilities.

One very useful and important thing is that it will give you the download links to the latest versions within the result as highlighted in the snapshot below.
