Show File Menu Bar Always In Windows Explorer

by Rohit Khurana on October 11, 2010

So, today I will be telling you about a way in which you can permanently see the Menu bar in the windows explorer. One of the turn-off for Windows 7 is the fact that Menu bar is not enabled by default, though many of us must not be using it in Windows XP or Windows Vista but still some of us have a habit to use it, as it used to be enabled in previous edition, so we never thought of turning it down. But in this post I will be telling you a solution with the help of which you can enable it forever.

Please follow the following steps in order to get the remedy to the problem.

  • Initially the toolbar of the Window of the Windows explorer will look similar to the one shown below in the snapshot.

  • Go to Control Panel and click on the ‘Folder Option’ tab, as shown in the snapshot below.

  • As soon as you click that option you will see a similar window shown in the snapshot below. Now in this window click on the ‘View’ tab and you will see the option shown in the snapshot below.

  • Among those option you will see an option named as ‘Always show menu bar’, Just click that option and then click OK. That’s it buddy now you will always see the Menu bar in the Windows and then your Windows will appear as shown below.

This solution will not take more than 2 minutes, only few clicks are to be made at right place and then your problem will be solved. This is one of the solution to a very general problem which is being faced by users working on Windows 7 these days. So, now you will be able to see more options in your Windows explorer and thus you will not have to move again and again to Control Panel.

I know that this solution is very simple, but still many of you would have to search it on internet and then got disappointed. But as usual I am here with the solution. If you have a better solution then please mention it or if you have any suggestion which can be introduced in this tutorial post then please do not hesitate while putting it down in the comments section as we will be glad to share your suggestion or idea. Have a nice day!!!
