Simple Tool To Find Out What Hardware Your PC Have in Simple Language

Do you want to know the detailed hardware specifications of your computer?

We have already covered a tool called PC Wizard to Know Detailed Hardware Configuration Of Your Computer. Speccy is a new and free tool from Piriform (makers of CC Cleaner – Used for Registry Cleaning) which also does something similar with a simple and easy interface.


The main screen of the tool will show you a summary of the hardware configuration specifications of your computer. There are links on the left hand sidebar panel to know the details of each of the components including:

  • Operating System
  • CPU
  • RAM
  • Motherboard
  • Graphics
  • Hard Drives
  • Optical Drives
  • Audio

You can click on any of these links for details of these components. It will also show you various run time details like CPU utilization graphs / memory graphs / memory frequency graphs / temperatures graphs.


Below is the CPU View :



The CPU view has graphs for bus speed, rated bus speed, core average temperature etc. It shows you CPU cores, threads, sockets, technology, specifications, family, supported instruction sets, cache etc etc.


Below is the view of RAM:


RAM view shows Memory type, size, channels, frequency, Latency, CAS / RAS etc. It also shows the serial number, part number etc. for the installed memory slots.


Below is snapshot of Hard Drives View:


It shows Manufacturer info, hard disk info like part number, serial number, volume details, error rates, file system details etc.

All in all, its a small and lightweight tool for checking useful and detailed computer specifications. It can also be used for monitoring purpose for temperature monitoring for gamers and CPU monitoring.
