Trouble:
This time for a change again we have come up with a different type of article on how can you speed up your Send To menu.
We had just released a post about how can you fix when the Send To option disappeared from your mouse right click, and we got a comment by our reader Aseem – author of Online Tech Tips saying how can we speed up the send to menu in windows.
Due to send to items the opening of Send to Menu is slow sometimes.
Lets see what could be the reason behind slow Send To menu and how can you fix them.
Fix:
Send To menu in windows contains different things like Mail Recipient, Compressed ( Zipped ) Folder, Desktop Create shortcut etc.
Whatever there in Sent To menu means when you open it by right clicking on any item, each of the program associated with each of the entry will be accessed.
So the idea is to remove un-necessary entries from send to menu which might be slowing down the send to menu.
“Send To” is located at the following path in windows “C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\SendTo“
If your send to menu is slow in opening, even if it stuck on a particular item, try removing the suspected item from it one by one by just deleting from the send to folder location and check whether it speeds up.
We recommend to remove any suspected or not used item in the Send To list to speed it up.
