[ Solved ] Cannot Change The Theme In Windows 7

Trouble:

Windows 7 is one of the most robust OS ever, as far as our review we found it much more stable and faster than vista, not only this it has some amazing themes in windows 7. We have written about several nice looking themes for windows 7 including 7 Up Theme, custom aero theme, 7 Windows 7 Theme – I’m Windows 7 PC, Avtar Movie Theme For Windows 7 etc.

But from some time I have been facing an issue in to theme personalization in windows 7, when ever I try to change the theme from windows 7 theme with aero to another windows 7 theme without aero it does not change at all, only the current wallpaper and sounds get changed. I tried to switch back to windows 7 basic theme without aero but I could not.

I still have no idea why this problem is occurring but some how I found a fix for this problem, here is how I solved the problem.

Fix:

Follow the procedure below to know how to do it.

1. Go to Control Panel >> Personalization

2. Apply windows 7 basic theme .

3. Go My Themes and then save the current applied unsaved theme with some custom name like the one shown in the image below.

4. Now apply other windows 7 theme with aero or without aero, you can always revert to the windows 7 basic theme by clicking theme you had saved under my themes.

This is how you can save any of your favorite theme you want to apply easily, this simple trick is help for you to stick or revert to the favorite theme in windows 7
