Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting tool is not a new tool, its been around for a long time, but the matter of fact is that it has improved a lot since the last time I tested it. The Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting tool tests Windows 7 for a variety of errors and helps you fix the problems. In this post however, we will focus on the Windows 7 Updates. Follow the below simple steps to fix Windows 7 update problems:
Step 1: Download and install Windows 7 Fix It tool from Microsoft Official page here.
Step 2: The tool may require to update itself before it scans the problem, so allow the tool to update.
Step 3: Launch the Microsoft Fix Center and scroll down to Windows Update as seen in the Fix it center snapshot below. Click Run button in front of Windows Update.
Step 4: When you run the Windows Update troubleshooting, it will show you a window like the one below which gives you an option to detect the problem and fix it for you. You should go with this option if you don’t know much about troubleshooting. If you have basic knowledge of Windows troubleshooting you may also use the second option in which it will detect the problem and will ask you which fixes to apply. We tested with the second option.
