I downloaded Revo Uninstaller, and it took a minute to figure out but it’s a wonderful program! Thank you so much for allowing me to delete all the excess waste on my computer with Revo. Kuddos

unfortunately the un-install program doesn’t work on my laptop, nor does the normal way of uninstalling the yahoo! messenger. any other ideas?

Ok this is the problem.Let me start from the beginning at first the computer (operating system windows XP) couldnt run windows updates ok a report about this was sent to windows. Information was given back on what to do,i wasnt home when this took place by the way. Ok the updates work now but the yahoo messenger stopped working ok I have been getting the error code “YahooMessenger.exe – Application Error” then it goes on to say “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click on Ok to terminate the application”. Now i have gone all over the internet to see how to fix this says something about the registry.
Ok i have gotten registry fix programs try to fix registry still it happens. Ok i look around and see this thing about Revo Uninstaller i used it,tried again so i install it from scratch and again as it starts to install same prob. Ok i tried uninstalling and installing the old versions first, tried 7…worked but cudnt sign in lol, tried 8 same as 7,tried 9 but i was able to sign in,then i tried the first version of a completed version of 10 and same prob comes up again.
As it goes to 98% and it says Unwise.exe the error happens ok i went to unwise.exe try to repair but it sticks up and gives me something about a pathname. Now i seriously think any prob may be with the unwise.exe program cause i cant seem to repair it from there man i dont know what to do or think. Now i am burned out i dont know what to do but i want the lastest yahoo messenger,i had 11 beta before the whole updates not working thing. Now they work and i cant get yahoo messenger 10 or 11 on this computer can someone plz help?

Oh yeh also even when i uninstall it in the beginning before the progress bar goes up the SAMEEEE error comes up “YahooMessenger.exe – Application Error” then it goes on to say “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click on Ok to terminate the application”. Something is seriously wrong can anyone help?

cant find Yahoo nor Messenger nor Unwise.exe in “uninstall” nor in Program Files, all programs, nor nowhere. Tried Revo, it couldn’t find them either.

Thomas Viaene August 23, 2011 at 4:15 pm

@ Tres Longwell. Same with me. Yahoo is nowhere to be found! Neither yahoo itself, nor the messenger! The problem started after I had to update to the new version of yahoo.
How is it possible that yahoo is there, but not in the program file!? I even have the tag on so that I can see hidden files, but… to no avail.
Very interesting, so I will hunt it down like a germ!!

I went to upgrade my yahoo messenger to the 11.5 version, and ever since I can’t open messenger. I went to uninstall it because I’ve seen that as many of the sucessful solutions for this problem, and when I tried, I quote: “The procedure entry point ?SavePNGGDI@CYImage@@QBE_NPB_W@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library YImage.dll.” WILL NOT STOP POPPING UP. I’m frustrated beyond words.
I am an admin on my computer, but it still won’t let me delete any of the yahoo messenger files. I can’t uninstall, delete, or rename ANYTHING.
