no sound in youtube video or on windows computer

After searching about this problem we found out that there could multiple reasons for this to happen, as most of the youtube videos are in flash so there could be some thing wrong with flash settings in volume or it could be due to a faulty driver on a windows PC.

  1. Adjust the volume control on your computer and speakers.
  2. Adjust the volume control located in the lower left corner of the YouTube Video Player.
  3. Restart your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.)
  4. Ensure that the volume is turned up on other video players if you are playing the vides in these players like VLC or Real Player etc.

Reinstall Adobe Flash Version To Fix No Sound in Youtube Videos

  1. Install the latest version of Adobe Flash (necessary for streaming YouTube videos) after removing any old versions you’ve installed. Go to this link to know to how to install most recent version of adobe flash
  2. Allow third-party Flash content on your computer by visiting the Adobe Flash Global Storage Settings Panel and following the instructions.
  3. Once this is complete, close all browser windows and try re-playing the Live Event.
Please Note: be advised that this action stores a Flash cookie on your computer. Flash enables this by default upon install.
  4. Check your Antivirus and Firewall software to see if you’re blocking third-party Flash content.

Global Flash Settings

Use this panel to specify storage settings for any or all of the websites that you have visited. The list of Visited Websites displays the following information for each website:

  • The name of the website
  • The amount of disk space the website has used to store information on your computer
  • The maximum amount of disk space the website can use before requesting additional space

In case you don’t hear any audio sound on your computer and this does include youtube videos as well, then you need to do a repair the windows sound driver for the same.

My problem with UTube audio is that I can listen to most UTube videos but there are many I can’t hear.

Nearly all UTube videos I watch are linked from other web sites such as Neatorama or online newspapers.

They all use the same settings in Flash, Firefox and the audio and video drivers so I don’t know how to start looking for a problem. In all cases UTube audio is enabled and the sound is at a reasonable listening level.
