Sony Playstation Network Phishing Attack–BEWARE

by Rohit Khurana on February 17, 2011

If you are using Sony Play Station and use Playstation Network, you may get attacked by this recent phishing attack. Fake emails are circulating which look very legitimate and may trick you into revealing your Play Station Network credentials.

These fake emails threaten that you that your Playsyation device has been accessed in an unauthorized way by some hacker and running some pirated software which may void your device warranty and may ban your Playstation Network account. Such emails are fake phishing emails with malicious links which lead the email recipients to look-alike websites of Sony Playstation and steals their login and password details.

If you happen to receive any such email, please do not click on any links inside the email. If you have clicked such link, DO NOT enter your login details on the page which opens through these links. If you have already done so, open the website by typing the URL manually and change your login password immediately and remove your credit card information from the account.
