<p>Let’s see how to fix this invalid registry reference in registry for Symantec.</p>

<p><strong>Fix</strong></p>
<p>In order to fix the invalid registry reference refer the procedure mentioned below</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>1. Open Start Menu &gt;&gt; Run, type <strong>regedit </strong>and press Enter</p>
<p>2. Navigate to the following path:</p>
<p>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run</p>
<p>3. On the right pane, double click <strong>vptray</strong></p>
<p>4. Change the value from </p>
<p>C:\Program Files\Symantec Client\vptray.exe to “C:\Program Files\Symantec Client\vptray.exe”</p>
<p>5.Exit Registry and restart your computer.</p>
