<p>In this post we will tell you how can you simply restore Windows Search Option in Start Menu by simply customizing the Windows Start Menu Settings.</p>
<p> <span id="more-458"></span>
<p><strong>Fix:</strong></p>
<p>To fix this issue:</p>
<p>1. Right click on <strong>Windows Task Bar &gt; Properties</strong>. This will launch Windows Task Bar and Start Menu Properties as you can see below. Click on Start Menu Tab and Press the <strong>“Customize”</strong> Button.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/SearchOptionMissingFromStartMenu_11ACF/taskbarandstartmenuproperties.jpg"><img title="task-bar-and-start-menu-properties" style="border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="425" alt="task-bar-and-start-menu-properties" src="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/SearchOptionMissingFromStartMenu_11ACF/taskbarandstartmenuproperties_thumb.jpg" width="379" border="0" /></a> </p>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<p>2. This will open a Customize Start Menu Window as below. Click on <strong>“Advanced</strong>” tab and Check the option for <strong>“Search”</strong> as highlighted below.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/SearchOptionMissingFromStartMenu_11ACF/enablewindowsstartmenusearch.jpg"><img title="enable-windows-start-menu-search" style="border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="399" alt="enable-windows-start-menu-search" src="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/SearchOptionMissingFromStartMenu_11ACF/enablewindowsstartmenusearch_thumb.jpg" width="379" border="0" /></a> </p>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<p>3. Press OK, yes you are done <img src='http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> That is it.</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/SearchOptionMissingFromStartMenu_11ACF/windowsstartmenusearchoption.jpg"><img title="windows-start-menu-search-option" style="border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="349" alt="windows-start-menu-search-option" src="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/SearchOptionMissingFromStartMenu_11ACF/windowsstartmenusearchoption_thumb.jpg" width="374" border="0" /></a></p>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<p>Now you can see the search option in the start menu as you see highlighted above.</p>
