<p>In this post we will tell you how can you enable Windows XP Welcome screen when it gets disabled. Also you can turn it off if you like the login window.</p>
<p> <span id="more-429"></span>
<p><strong>Fix:</strong></p>
<p>Its quite simple and easy, just Open <strong>Start &gt; Control Panel &gt; User Accounts, </strong>as you can see below:</p>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<p><a href="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/WindowsXPShutdownOptionsMenuChanged_140FE/controlpaneluseraccounts.jpg"><img title="control-panel-user-accounts" style="border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="313" alt="control-panel-user-accounts" src="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/WindowsXPShutdownOptionsMenuChanged_140FE/controlpaneluseraccounts_thumb.jpg" width="379" border="0" /></a> </p>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<p>It will take you to <strong>User Accounts settings as below:</strong></p>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<p><a href="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/WindowsXPShutdownOptionsMenuChanged_140FE/usercoountssettings.jpg"><img title="user-coounts-settings" style="border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="276" alt="user-coounts-settings" src="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/WindowsXPShutdownOptionsMenuChanged_140FE/usercoountssettings_thumb.jpg" width="379" border="0" /></a></p>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<p>Here Click on <strong>“Change the way users log on or log off “, </strong>it will show options like below<strong>:</strong></p>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/WindowsXPShutdownOptionsMenuChanged_140FE/usewindowswelcomescreeninwindowsxp.jpg"><img title="use-windows-welcome-screen-in-windows-xp" style="border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="276" alt="use-windows-welcome-screen-in-windows-xp" src="http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/images/WindowsXPShutdownOptionsMenuChanged_140FE/usewindowswelcomescreeninwindowsxp_thumb.jpg" width="379" border="0" /></a> </strong></p>
<blockquote></blockquote>
<p>On this screen you can set the use of welcome screen by checking the options “<strong>Use the welcome screen”, </strong>also you can disable it here if you want a login window instead of Welcome Screen.&#160; That is it .</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
