Many of the users find sit very irritating if they have to enter the username and password each and every time they have to log in. Specially if the system is to used by the single user for sure. They would never like to set these security settings which is useless for them. So, better option is to automatically log. So, in case this is the option I will never like to have the headache of entering the username and password. Moreover, I will prefer to remember as less passwords as possible. To solve all these problems, I would like review a utility named Autologon presented by Sysinternals.

Autologon is a very small freeware of 76.9 KB only. As the name suggests, it has been designed to automatically logon. You may think that the auto-logon facility in present in the system. But it will consume a lot of your time. The utility will directly access the built-in Windows auto-logon mechanism. Moreover, the utility is very small and will be downloaded very fast and it is a portable utility. The user interface has been displayed in the snapshot below.

One of the good things is that the username and password are already inserted. You don’t need to enter that. You only have to enter the password and click on enable. After the activation, the credentials entered in the Autologon are used. The enabling process is confirmed by the dialog as shown in the snapshot below. Your autologon password will ne encrypted in the registry. Now, you can feel free whenever you have to logon. You don’t have to remember the password. There is no need to make the unnecessary entries. There is a little drawback. The utility is successful for the purpose when the operating system is started. But if it was in the hibernation mode, you have to enter the password.

Also, you can easily disable the facility whenever not required. You simply have to open the utility and click on Disable. The following confirmation will show the activation.

Now, you can easily enable or disable the automatic logon in few clicks. It is no more a tedious process with a large number of steps to be followed. So, download the tool and make the changes in a more handy and fats manner.
