That is why I came to this site, actually. I just disabled the anti-virus software and changed the power scheme. Worked well for me. Had exactly the same program. Every time I play a video or movie, the power scheme reverts to turn off the monitor after 20 minutes. I've tried the registry fix, but once again, it's still reverting. I've set it to " never " turn off the monitor, but as soon as I open a video it goes back to 20 minutes. I've tried opening other programs (i.e. notepad, calculator, etc.) these do not cause the power scheme to change, just videos. Please help. This is really frustrating for the fact that I can't watch a movie uninterrupted and the fact that I can't figure out what's triggering it. Thanks for any help or insight to this.
