To delete the blog template, just go to the locations :
%appdata%\Windows Live Writer\blogtemplates
If you have more than one blogs installed on Windows Live Writer, you can see multiple folders with some random names. To ensure that you are in the right folder, open the index.htm file inside the folder to see if it shows the correct blog title.
Simply remove these files or move it to some other location from the template folder. When you remove these files, you close and open the Windows Live Writer again. This time you will see that the template has been removed and a clean editing template it available.

Manually Update Blog Editing Template In Windows Live Writer
When you change the look of your blog by changing its theme or template and you want your Windows Live Writer to change to the same template while editing, you can do the same very easily by following these simple steps:
1. On Windows Live Writer Screen, click on Blogs >Edit blog settings…
2. On Edit Blog Settings screen, click on the Editing tab at the left side panel. On the right side, click the “Refresh Theme” button and that is it, it will update the template.
