Google chrome is one of the popular and mostly used browser. The reason for its popularity is the fast speed, various useful features and add-ons which make the users’ work convenient.
One of the useful and unique feature of chrome is Sync Bookmarks which will sync your bookmarks across different computers over Internet. But this option is not available on mobiles, tablet or other browsers which is sometimes inconvenient and annoying.
So, there is an extension called Chrome Push which allows you to access your chrome bookmarks on any other browser like IE, Firefox, Opera etc. or on mobile devices as well. When you will install this extension, it will ask you the access to all your data on chromepush.com, your browsing history and bookmarks. You just have to click ‘install’.
It will only create problem when run in incognito window because Google chrome will not be able to prevent this extension to save the browsing history in incognito window. So, take care of it.
The extension will be installed in just a few seconds with this icon in the browser toolbar.
The extension first needs you to login with your email id and sync your bookmarks. Once you provide authentication for the extension, its icon will change to this which will indicate the successful synchronization of your bookmarks.
Now, your bookmarks are now accessible at http://chromepush.com/bookmarks. You can access these bookmarks of chrome from any other browser or mobile devices by just visiting the link, providing your email id as an authentication just like this.
NOTE: For viewing your bookmarks on this page, you have to refresh the page.
Suppose, you have synched your bookmarks using this extension and then, added a new bookmark in the chrome and you want to access it from different browser then, you do not have to re-install the extension instead click ‘refresh’ button present on the above page where your bookmarks are saved. The new added bookmark will appear in the list automatically.
In short, it is a smart application which is designed to bridge the gap created due to the non-availability of chrome’s bookmark synchronization feature on mobile phones, tablets, and other browsers.
