After some more searching we came to know that this issue may occur if the Enable IEEE 802.1X authentication for this network check box is selected. If this check box is selected, but there is no server to authenticate against, the connection is disconnected. If you reestablish the wireless network connection, it disconnects again after a short time.

Following are some possible fixes you can apply when you face frequent disconnection with wifi on windows 8.

Make Sure That The LAN Connection is Turned Off

Windows 8 has a known bug that is, if the Ethernet connection is present, it doesn’t join the Wi-Fi network at all, so until you manually connect to the wifi network it wont connect automatically and at a time windows 8 will keep one connection live at a time, as this is a bug in windows 8 so turning on windows updates should fix this issue with time.

Disable IEEE 802.1X Authentication In Windows 8

1. Click Start, type ncpa.cpl, and then hit Enter.

2. Right-click your wireless network connection, and then click Properties.

3. Click the Wireless Networks tab.
