Send Outlook Junk Email Report To Microsoft

Junk email is an unsolicited email (i.e. you didn’t ask to receive it) that wants to sell you something. But its rate is very high because now-a-days, it has become a cheap and easy way for a tiny company or scammer to try and drum up some business.

But most of us find advertisement email annoying and with its huge number, it has become a problem. Sometimes, even we miss our important mail while dealing with these junk mails in our inbox.

So, to relieve us from these junk e-mails, Microsoft has provided a tool called Junk Email Reporting Tool which will help in improving its junk e-mail filtering technologies.

Junk Email Reporting Tool will let us directly report junk email to Microsoft and its affiliates which will be later analyzed to help Microsoft improve the effectiveness of its junk e-mail filtering technologies.

It is compatible with Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista Service Pack 2, Windows XP Service Pack 3. It Supports only Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

When installed in your computer, it will enable the service of reporting the junk e-mail to Microsoft only if you choose to do so. When you receive a junk-mail which you want to report to Microsoft, just follow 3 steps to complete the process.

First, select the mail in Outlook which you want to report. Second, click the junk e-mail button on the toolbar. When you will do that, a window will appear asking you whether you want to report the e-mail to Microsoft and its affiliates.


Third, you just have to select ‘Yes’ if you really want that mail to report and the e-mail will be deleted from your inbox and will be sent to FrontBridge, a Microsoft company.


So, it is a good tool which will help in improving the junk e-mail filtering so that after a period of time we will be relieved from the hundreds of stupid junk e-mails and the trouble caused by them.
